Hello. I am a private car restorer, specialised in modern classics, mostly mercedes, volvo and jaguar.

for sale my last, full restoration project, this spectacular / showroom condition mercedes w126 500se... my best work so far!... the pimp mobile, as i call it!!!
full service history, with stamped book and invoices.
2 x keys.
only 3 previous owners.
vosa verified mileage (158k), will do another 150k easy (bullet proof engine)!

to get an idea where the price is coming from, here are the statistics:
the car itself (not cheap), that came in with a valid mot (no advisory).
over £4k in new parts, second hand parts (not included in the final invoice), various refurbs (like seats, steering wheel, wheels, etc/ not in the final bill), all materials, suspension parts, full service + more, plus electrical bits, etc... etc.
440 labour hours @ only £25/ h (do the math)
the final/ full restoration invoice is £14. 500 (whithout quite a few things)!
no expenses were spared during the restoration process, everything used was top brand, from the first drop of oil, to the last 3 coats of lacquer that went on it!
i have done the following (to name a few):
fully stripped down, in/ out/ suspension, including every single bit of trim, even the rear windscreen!
the car had very little rust, which was all cut out/ cleaned, treated and triple sealed with various products, from the inside out.
done a major engine service, including full ignition system (bosch distributor, bosch rotor arm and bosch ht leads).
new rocker cover gaskets + others that were sweating / leaking.
changed all the bushes, ball joints, etc... pointed at the pre-mot test.
had all the suspension bits removed and refurbished.
full brakes refurbished.
all 5 wheels refurbished, fitted with 5 new tyres.
done/ changed/ fixed all electrics that were not working.
had the front seats and steering wheel refurbished, plus i did a full interior valet while everything was out.
fully re-sprayed the exterior (5 coats of paint & 3 coats of lacquer), plus all the plastic trim.
fully undersealed everything underneath + lots of wax everywhere (doors, boot lid, sills, etc).
had the car professionally mopped/ polished and waxed after.
re-wired the stereo, as it was a mess (original stereo present).
fitted new tailored "deluxe" floor mats, new wipers, 5 new tyres, new alloys centre caps , etc....
to summarise, the quality of the finish product blows everyone's mind! I get tums up at every traffic light and gets appreciated everywhere i stop!!!
