Mini Van – Totally Restored to Original Specification
The Minivan was introduced in 1960 based on the slightly longer Traveller chassis and was an immediate success with businesses and private individuals wishing to avoid purchase tax. They were widely used and abused by a generation of drivers and today original specification examples in good condition are rare and highly prized.
Milestone Classics are delighted to market this exceptional minivan that started life in Northern Ireland supplied to the Department of the Environment (Water Service). She was registered in February 1983 – the last month of production was December 1982 so this is one of the last examples manufactured - and sold to the first private owner in County Fermanagh during 1989.
This stunning example was professionally restored by a mini specialist during 2018 and, wherever practical, original parts were retained. She is body colour underneath, still running her original engine along with original seats & interior. The result is a real testament to the skill & commitment of the restorer.
On the road the car drives as good as she looks – these minis corner like they are on rails and feel like you are travelling at warp speed when doing 50mph. There is a small history folder with original NI registration logbook (still used in 1983), UK V5, MOT etc. and she still carries her original NI registration
Ideal for a private collector to win prizes or commercial brand promotion to win business this iconic, attention grabbing van is ready to be used and enjoyed.
