Bentley MKVI Park Ward Convertible
Presented in dual tone grey with soft slate blue leather piped in deep squadron blue with matching blue mohair hood and carpets. Radio, hydraulic windows and hood. Original hand books, complete original tool kit, extensive history portfolio including the original order and invoice when new in 1949!
This very rare short wing Drop Head Foursome Coupe was built to the exact specification of her first owner including very rare silent hydraulic windows and hood. She was delivered new to his Yorkshire home in November 1949. She was spotted by a young Indian Prince who persuaded the owner to sell her to him. Prince Harmohinear Singh of Faridkot became a familiar sight in his rare prized Bentley at Cambridge university and enjoyed the Bentley so much that the young Prince acquired a standard Bentley MKVI which he retained at the family Palace in India. Which we understand is still in their Royal collection.
The last owner acquired this magnificent Bentley over 22 years ago from a friend and this is the first time she has been publicly offered for sale in 56 years! We have driven her some considerable distance and she is running and driving very well with good continuous oil pressure, Charge and maintains a constant temperature. Unusually she retains all her original factory special order features. Whilst being MOT exempt she has been MOT tested
Full log book and MOT test, using unleaded fuel. (Road tax and Mot exempt)
