Beschreibung

This Porsche 911 SC is perfect for regular or even daily use and is ideal for rallies, long distance touring and any challenge. This fantastic, strong, robust car was purchased by its most recent owner and put straight to work competing and proving totally reliable on the Scottish Malts Rally covering around 1000 miles across the Highlands over five days. This was the test prior to being taken over to Iceland for the HERO Icelandic Saga Rally where the 911 once again proved to be robust, reliable and fantastic fun over eight days of driving. A much tougher rally, hard core at times and the 911 finished well with 30% of the crews dropping out or their cars failing. Potholes, gravel, volcanic rock, this was a challenge for any car! The long, curvy and wide roads were a delight for the Porsche and probably more fitting for this quick, exceptional driving and well sorted 911. ‘911 and Porsche World’ featured the car after its challenging event which now makes a nice addition to the history file.
UUY 601Y is effortless to drive, its lusty, impressively responsive on throttle, gear shifts are a delight and whilst its recent history features lots of rallies and events, its nowhere near a rally car in real terms. The car is largely a standard SC with some accessories and moderate and light changes. Inside the car features a RS steering wheel, map storage pocket on the drivers door, a navigators Brantz module and externally the engine lid ducktail has been changed for glass fibre, the bonnet catch replaced with Dzus fasteners and an external battery cut off fitted. Since competing in Iceland, the Porsche has spent much of its time in storage but in September 2020 was treated to around £8000 of work to include servicing, anti-roll bar bushes, drop links, top damper mounts, a new battery, front and rear brake discs and pads, various new brake pipes, various new air pipes and oil pipe, Blaupunkt radio, new bonnet strut and four new tyres. After this program of work the 911 is ready to use, enjoy and really makes this car attractively priced.

Originally supplied by Dick Lovett on the 29th April 1983, this Guards Red 911 has been superbly maintained throughout its life and owners have not been frightened to use it. The car has covered 150, 000 miles, 3000 miles with its most recent owner and 52000 miles since an engine rebuild. The car comes with an excellent, well documented history from new with a full original service book and lots of paperwork to accompany the books. The full engine rebuild was carried out by Rush Engineering in Essex and over the years has been treated to bodywork and paint when required. This is by no means a show car, or even purist's car, however it does present very well with a lovely paint finish, a clean, tidy interior and lovely wheels. This is a sensibly priced 911 capable of serious rallies and touring, its had lots of money spent on it and is ready for its next challenge.
