This is a very original car which is in great condition cosmetically and has been mechanically sorted. A house refurbishment project forces a very reluctant sale.
Receipts for work completed since I purchased the car in 2017:
- SM Trimming replaced sagging driver seat cushion foam (re-used original leather)
- Bilstein B12 Pro Kit shocks and Eibach springs fitted all round
- Full suspension refresh (including control arms, drop links, bushes etc.)
- Rear subframe bushes, diff bush and engine mounts replaced
- Timing belt, water pump, radiator and radiator hoses replaced
- Faulty steering rack replaced with E46 purple tag one (professionally converted by BMR Performance with custom made power steering pipes)
- Clutch slave and master cylinders replaced
- Valve clearances done at last service (July 2020)
- Front sections of both sills (and jacking points) professionally replaced
Points to mention:
- Small 1 inch crack in dash (in usual place for E30s)
- Trip computer screen not working (but OBD warning lights are functional)
- Small chip in original windscreen (not impacting driver’s view)
- Original colour but I expect that the car has had a full respray at some point in its life
- Evidence of some repair work on inside of drivers side rear boot pocket
- Couple of small lumps under paint in corners of front scuttle as shown in photo (which haven’t got any worse since I’ve owned the car)
