Finished in a shade of Sepang Blue the dynamic form of this RS6 is unmistakable, with the vivid modern blue finish harking back to the iconic RS2 that came to define Audis RS division.
Offsetting the gorgeous paintwork sit flashes of matt finish aluminium across the mirrors, window surrounds, front grille and roof rails which add to distinctly premium feel of the car. Framing the front end Matrix LED headlamps sit outside of huge grilles dominating the frontal area, with gloss black flics inset into the lower mesh diverting air to the brakes
INTERIOR
The interior space is beyond question when it comes to quality, fit and finish. Honeycomb quilted leather adorns the Super Sports seats, which provide superb comfort with the deep bolsters and 4-way adjustable lumbar support. Ambient mood lighting promotes further definition to the cabin space, with extended alcantara sandwiched by carbon and leather in the door cards and dashboard. Opening up the space the optional panoramic roof retracts to flood the cabin with light, and can be fully covered to darkness with just the press of a button.
Continuing the impressive equipment list this RS6 is also appointed with Audi’s MMI entertainment system; consisting of a fold out display, sat-nav, Bluetooth and DAB radio the impressive set up is paired to the latest in a long line of BOSE stereo systems doing it’s very best to drown out that sonorous V8.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Whether it’s School on a Wednesday or Spa on a Weekend – the C7 has it covered. Sensational sound and pace defy the weight and footprint of the car, absorbing and addictive in equal measure with the Quattro 4wd generating huge levels of grip allowing you to exploit the twin-turbo charged V8 whether conditions are wet or dry.
Audi Drive select allows the attitude of the gearbox and throttle to change significantly, with the cylinder on demand (COD) system temporarily switching off four cylinders during part-load operation a deciding factor for efficiency.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 20 inch twin-spoke wheels offer a superb balance of look and ride comfort, and on this example present in pristine condition. Matching Michelin Pilot Sport 4s’ have just been fitted at each corner, allowing the Quattro AWD system to fully deploy all 553bhp when the moment strikes.
The RS brakes offer uncompromising performance, with the vast drilled discs bringing the nearly 2-tonne super estate to a halt
HISTORY FILE
Supplied by West London Audi on 10/ 03/ 2017 this stunning C7 RS6 was purchased by the 2nd and current owner just 2 months later. Since then the car has been treated to servicing exclusively with Audi main dealers, with 2 services carried out to date, most recently at 23, 008 miles which included a new set of front brake discs as recommended in the otherwise faultless health check.
The on board computer indicates the next service will be due in 7, 300 miles, giving the next owner plenty of miles to enjoy the car in the meantime.
