Here at Old Colonel Cars we delighted to have this very rare 1992 Porsche 944 Turbo Cabriolet. Finished in Grand Prix White, it looks absolutely stunning, a lovely specification, complimented with its Black leather sports interior. It has covered 104, 000 miles backed up by a full Porsche / Porsche specialist history. The 944 Turbo is one of the rarest Porsche models, especially in RHD, only 100 worldwide. All the turbo cabriolets came with the later, 250 bhp turbo S engine, this example has the 5 speed manual gearbox.
The performance is excellent. I covered around 60, 000 miles in one of these, I can confirm it has all the performance you need, these cars have a real punch, picking up instantly from any speed. This 944 has near perfect weight balance. This along with superbly set up suspension, makes it really great fun to drive.

The 944 comes with a lovely specification including electric sport seats, Becker stereo with Bluetooth and Nav.
Bodywork / Interior / Wheels / Roof etc
The bodywork on this car is finished in Grand Prix White. As you can hopefully see from the many pictures and videos on our website, the paintwork is excellent. Look closer, no dings or dents, no rust. Grand Prix White really suits this shape and it has a really deep all over shine, its ready to take to any show now. Underneath, all sills etc are in excellent shape.
The wheels are all unmarked and finished with the correct diamond cut lip, all fitted with tyres with plenty of tread left.
The roof on this car is easy to operate, open and shuts manually in seconds. The roof has been replaced recently, so remains in excellent condition, clear rear screen etc. It also comes with the original Tonneau cover.
Engine / Gearbox
The 944 turbo came with the 250 BHP 2. 5 Turbo engine from the Turbo S model. This engine is super smooth and the performance in this example is very impressive. 250 BHP is plenty in this relatively light car, it really does impress at all speeds. Factory 0-60 is around 5. 5 seconds, with a top speed of over 155 mph. In real world driving, it feels alot faster and more impressive than those figures may suggest. On a duel carriageway, or favorite B road, the engine is always willing to push you on instantly, very addictive and great fun.
History
This example benefits from a full service history. We have a fully stamped service book, we have a folder full of all old service receipts, old MOT’s, no less than 27 service visits. A very well maintained car.#
Summary
The 944 Turbo is a fantastic car, believed to be 1 of only 32 left in the UK. A great modern classic to own, it looks fantastic and is great for those weekend blasts. The 944’s are appreciating and this model represents excellent value.
