The Lotus Elise was first released in September of 1996 and has since become one of the most iconic British sports to ever be produced. The Elise has taken many varying forms since its first incarnation back in 1996, but the philosophy has always remained the same, ‘simplify and add lightness.’ This latest, Limited Edition 250 GP Cup embodies this philosophy and creates the most performance focused road going Elise to date.
The car’s weight has been reduced to comfortably under a tonne and thanks to 243bhp and 184lb ft, is able to travel from 0-60 mph in just 4. 3 seconds and carry onto a top speed of 154 mph. Being a Limited Edition special, the Elise 250 GP Cup comes with exceptional levels of standard equipment in comparison to the standard car. The car is fitted with carbon fibre Alcantara seats as standard that have been embroidered with the Lotus moniker. The Y-spoke wheels are finished in Mars Gold to ensure coordination between the wheels and the decals. Despite being lightweight in both construction and design, the car comes as standard with air conditioning to ensure that long journeys can be undertaken, and that the car can be used in all weather conditions.
