This rather nice Land Rover Series 2a has only had two owners from new a father and daughter from Ruthin in Wales.
Registered as CUN 952C in the County of Clywd on 21st May 1965.
Tax and MOT exempt.
Chassis number 24120626E makes this a Home Market RHD 2. 25 petrol in Bronze Green with a full canvas top.
Sparingly used over the years it was last driven in 2008 before being laid up.
The body panels are incredibly straight and I would leave them as is.
The chassis is in poor condition and a new one is the way forward.
The bulkhead needs work but is repairable.
After sitting idle I put some new spark plugs in and some fresh fuel and the engine started on the button and runs well.
The engine is a period factory reconditioned unit as evidenced by the factory plate on the engine block.
This is a very exciting project as it is so original and unmolested with all original panels and tailgate.
This will have a superb patina when restored and is the classic Bronze green with full canvas.
