Sports seats with cloth patterned upholstery, fully colour coded bumpers & mirrors, steel road wheels, rear spolier, front air dam spoiler, tinted glass, stereo, 12v power socket with cigar lighter
EXTERIOR:
Finished in best 'Scala Edition' colours, Sapphire Blue Metallic
This 1989 example was the subject of a detailed full respray in the original colour just prior to her time tucked away in storage. There had been a fair amount of work covered prior to the paint refinishing including new parts & fabrication works. Overall the paint finish is rated as excellent
INTERIOR:
Optioned with 'Dove Grey' Sports cloth upholstery & remains in a superb order after three decades
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION:
Built with the 1. 8 fuel injected four cylinder petrol engine mated to a five speed gearbox. This MKII Scirocco has been in storage for the past seven years & as a result will require recommissioning works. Our workshops have turned the engine over by hand & on the ignition key. She did start & run when connected to an external fuel pump as the original is not present & this is will need to replaced by the next keeper.
HISTORY FILE:
Purchased by a classic car restoration company in 2013 & was put into use as the Managing Directors personal daily driver. After some months in regular useage, the decision was made to strip the Scirocco down for restoration works - mainly comprising of a full quality respray. The VW was indeed refinished & reassembled but sadly works remained 90% complete due to a large influx of workload!
SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity to finish off a restoration after 90% of the hard work has been completed & at a fraction of the build costs!
