Introduction
Here we have what can only be described as an amazing example of the BMW E30 316 Lux Touring. This BMW has covered a genuine 48, 000 Miles in the very careful hands of 3 owners. The first owner cared for this car for no less than 23 years. They were very proud of how this car has been looked after, always garaged and only driven on dry days. The second owner, a very good customer of mine, purchased this car to replace another long term E30. The third owner has loved owning this car and covered 3000 miles in her. But a house move means the car will no longer be garaged, so is with me to sell.
This condition of this car is stunning and appears to be very original, very hard to find like this now.
Specification
This BMW comes with a lovely specification, including PAS, ABS, Electric windows, Electric mirrors, Electric sunroof, Central locking.
Bodywork / Interior / Wheels etc
Finished in Lagun Green Metallic. This is a lovely, very metallic colour that really suits the touring shape. On this car, the condition of the paintwork is excellent. Its obviously been very well looked after, the paintwork has a deep all over shine.
Inside this lovely example, its just as good. The Light Grey cloth interior, with matching deep pile carpets and Black door cards, is in excellent condition. The carpets have been protected from new by the original BMW overmats, these are just as nice. The dash is perfect. Currently fitted with a later stereo, but the original comes with the car. The engine bay is just as clean and fresh, its clear this car has had an easy life. You will finds everything as it should, original BMW tool roll untouched etc
Underneath this car is just as clean and original. All arches are solid and original, there are no noticeable dings or dents. The sills / jacking points are all original and in excellent condition. Just look at the pictures underneath this car, it is such a lovely example.
The wheels are the larger 15 inch BBS Alloys, all in lovely shape with excellent, matching Goodyear tyres.
Engine / Gearbox
This BMW features the 316i engine. This engine provides plenty of power in this light car. Its starts and performs as it should, lovely and quiet from cold, easily cruising at motorway speeds and very good on fuel.
The gearbox is a 5 speed manual box. As you would expect for the mileage, it feels very fresh and precise, the clutch is nice and light.
History
This E30 comes with a fully stamped original service book, all the keys, a folder of old service receipts, MOT history, HPI certificate showing clear including mileage verification.
Summary
A superb and rare example of a low owner, low mileage E30 touring.
This car is such a delight to drive, very light and smooth. The tourings have always been a good looking car, especially this the BBS alloys and in a rare colour like this example.
You would be hard pressed to find a more original example, its ready to be enjoyed now.
