What a wonderful little car this is! It a 1936 Hillman Minx, with the 4 cylinder 1185cc side valve engine and 4 speed all syncro gearbox.
This first Minx was produced in 1931 and in 1936 a new version with rounded lines, sloping rear, and engine moved forward to provide more space, was introduced, carrying the glorious name the Minx Magnificent.
This example starts runs and drives extremely well for an 85 year old car. Its has been well looked after over the years to survive to today.
The interior looks original, and nicely worn, not pristine, but ready to use and enjoy. This Hillman won't win any concours prizes, but for a presentable, nice driving car its hard to beat for this price. It won't be put to shame at any club meet or rally. For an introduction to vintage motoring the Minx ticks the boxes, its great fun and is a true investment.
