Ford Taunus 2. 0 V6 Manual . LHD. Very rare car which has been in the UK since 1993. It has been owned by 4 previous owners in the UK, it was a staff car for Practical Classics Magazine and featured in the Octoober 2006 issue. It was also later owned by Jonny Smith of Fifth Gear Fame and was again featured in Retro Ford Magazine. We have copies of all the articles with the car, pretty much all of the old MOTs since it came into the country. we also have details of all previous owners both in Germany and the UK. In addition we have a Taunus brochure and original handbook which are both in English. The car has a long MOT starts runs and drives and is ready to be used.
Body - German built Taunus coupe. Very solid old car. Looks very good underneath. No signs of any patches or poor repairs. Looks fairly original. It has been painted at some point and from reading the history has had a repair to the scuttle panel. Its a very good looking straight car. Paintwork is very tidy. Vinyl roof in the main is decent but has a tiny tear on ns at the top of the rear pillar and is lifting a little where the trim meets the body. Overall a very clean tidy solid car for its age.
Mechanics - 2. 0 V6 Engine , similar to the bigger Cologne V6. Car starts and runs very well. Engine is lovely. Gearbox has been upgraded to a 5 speed. Clutch and brakes are all good and everything seems to work. despite being exempt this car has always been MOTD and is currently tested till Jun 2022. Slight vibration when to pull away in first but dissapears quickly. This car is really a cracking thing to drive.
Interior - All looks original and generally in very good order. Couple of small cuts on passenger seat otherwise all the trim is very tidy.
Wheels - Deep dish dartboard style wheels with chrome trim rings and good tyres.
