Motodrome offer for sale this 1993 XJS 4. 0 Coupe Auto, finished in the desirable Morocco Red with full leather and walnut trim.
Usual high specification for one of these – switchable automatic transmission, abs, airbag, air conditioning electric seats/ windows/ mirrors, headlamp wash etc.
This one has been further upgraded with:
• XJR suspension kit comprising Eibach springs front and rear, Gaz adjustable dampers front and rear, and Superflex wishbone and steering rack bushes
• X300 Supercharged wheels – shod with a matching set of Michelin Pilot tyres
• US-spec quad headlights in place of the original lozenge type
• Modern stereo
Odometer reading 124000m with excellent history including original service book with 17 stamps (all but 2 Jaguar main dealer, a big sheaf of bills, and the original book pack. Reconditioned gearbox and new torque convertor fitted in 2004 at 89797m
XJS’s (especially facelift ones) are prone to the bulkhead and windscreen surround rusting badly, and we’re pleased to report that, in 2017, XJ Restorations stripped it and fabricated a new bulkhead, scuttle and windscreen surround at an eye-watering cost of just over £6000. 00, although this also included an aircon regas.
XJ restorations also fitted a new headlining in 2017, which is another area that XJS’s are prone to having problems.

Driving-wise, with it’s suspension upgrades it feels much tauter and more responsive to steering inputs than a standard example, without the legendary Jaguar ride quality being compromised.
