This Mark 3 Cavalier has had only one owner from new, and thus has covered just 63, 000 miles in its quarter-century lifetime. It's a rust-free example with just the odd minor stone chip. The car has clearly been looked after and honestly drives just like a new car. The engine is the Japanese-built Turbo diesel 1700cc version, famously well-engineered and reliable, and with very good fuel economy but plenty of punch - this is a very nippy car when needed.
In their day Cavaliers were some of the best-seling family cars in the UK, and not without good reason. They were spacious, good-looking, reliable, reliable and capable cars. This one still contains all its original brochures and manuals, further evidence of how well the car has been kept.
The car's interior is incredible - classic unmarked 90s velour and the neat and functional instrument cluster add to the car's appeal. The stereo is still original too. Electric windows and the slide-and-tilt sunroof are also plus-points, and the car even comes with a full 12 months MOT.
Another positive is that being a mid-90s car, this is one of the last models that comes without all the troublesome electronics of newer cars, yet these particular Japanese diesel engines were built to such a high standard that the car's second owner can be sure of many trouble-free years of motoring to come.
This Cavalier has clearly been maintained in almost-new condition from Day 1, and is a perfect example of a car which really has had 'one careful owner from new.'
