Here at Old Colonel Cars we have an absolutely stunning BMW 840 4. 4 V8 Sport individual, with only 66, 000 miles and full service history.
This car is exceptional, the extremely rare Individual Royal Red metallic paintwork is simply stunning, no dings, no dents, just a deep all over shine.
One of the very last E31 8 Series cars, this late 1999 car is also a low owner car. It was serviced by BMW main dealers in the UK until 2010. Then the owners moved to Portugal, so its spent its life garaged and cherished by UK owners in Portugal. Whilst there it continued to be looked after by BMW, then specialists.
Inside this car has a lovely Champagne extended leather interior , with piped seats and deep pile black carpets.
The staggered 18 inch polished alloys look superb all fitted with new tyres.
Last, the bespoke sports exhaust on this car is the best I have every heard. A lovely deep engine note, making the very best of this lovely V8, but tuned to be just right on longer journeys.

This 840 is finished in a very rare colour, Royal Red metallic. Only 23 8 Series were produced in this colour and it was only available on the very last, ‘Individual’ models. On this example the paintwork and bodywork are in exceptional condition. A superb deep all over shine, no dings, no dents, its really does suit the shape of this car and really makes this car stand out from the rest.
The interior on this car is finished in very light Cream ‘Champagne’ extended leather. This is complimented with deep pile Black carpets. Its the perfect choice for this model, the light , extra quality leather really makes this example feel special. The seats are piped in matching body colour. The condition of the leather on this car is excellent, lovely soft to the touch, its obviously be cared for correctly and obviously protected from the sun whilst in Portugal.
The wheels are an excellent upgrade, staggered 18 inch alloys with polished rims, all in excellent condition fitted with nearly new Goodyear tyres.
Engine / Gearbox
This model features the 4. 4 V8 M62 engine. This engine is the most popular choice when looking for and 8 series. It provides instant performance, a really strong and refined BMW V8. This example runs and performs perfectly. The addition of the quality sports exhaust just make the best of this superb engine. The exhaust was carefully tuned to give a lovely deep V8 soundtrack, yet remain quite when on longer journeys.
The automatic gearbox on this car features fully automatic mode, sports mode and sequential gear change mode. Which ever setting you choose, the gearbox on this car is very responsive and provides quick, smooth gear changes.
History
This BMW comes with an excellent service history. We have all the original manuals in the original BMW folder. We have the original, fully stamped service book. We have a folder full of old service receipts and MOT’s. The car is HPI clear and comes with a HPI mileage certification. We have all the keys etc.

Summary
