Description
We are delighted to offer onto the market this very special car. The iconic, legendary Lancia Delta Integrale offers a huge level of sporting history combined with usability. Having celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2019, largely original examples are now in high demand and many tip a price increase in the coming years. The Lancia has become one of the most iconic rally cars shapes having made its mark on the World Rally Championship with the boxy Delta taking the drivers and manufacturers titles during the 1980’s in a HF 4WD. The Delta was later further developed and by 1989 we saw the introduction of the Integrale, offered in 8v and 16v variants. Adding to its now legendary box arches, the 16v model featured a modified bonnet to house the extra valves and fantastic all-round performance.
With its permanent 4WD and existing 2. 0 turbo engine both featuring in the original Delta HF, the Integrale added a revised torque split biased more to the rear wheels, lowered suspension, and spoilers to the hatchback shape. It remained a relatively lightweight car and was quick, even by todays standards. The 16v version had the benefit of an extra 35bhp, increasing output to 197bhp and was good for 0-60mph in less than six seconds. The 4WD system and larger wheels ensured tremendous road holding and poise, whilst larger brakes helped the car stop well. The Integrale has always been hailed as a great drivers car, yet is also incredibly practical making this 1980's hot hatch a fantastic choice for usability, collectability and for having a tremendous amount of enjoyable motoring.
This beautifully presented car has covered just 80, 000 miles from new and whilst largely original, has recently been treated to program of cosmetic improvements taking the car to an incredibly high standard. The Lancia has had towards £10, 000 spent on a professional strip down and re-paint putting the car into showroom condition. The Lancia was stripped down, and then professionally prepared for a full outer re-spray. The body was found to be in exceptional condition with superb, original straight panels. The aged Red paintwork was dull in areas, and with a top quality finish, the Lancia now presents as an incredibly sharp, beautifully presented example. The underbody has been checked and found to be structurally exceptional with no evidence of any previous repairs adding further confidence to the originality of this car.
The interior is a largely original and at over 30 years old is impressive. The striped cloth and alcantara upholstery has been superbly kept and clearly indicates this car has never had a particularly hard life. Paperwork with the car is also impressive, the Lancia started life in Southern Germany in one of Munich's outer city districts. The first owner had his own garage business and by the time the car was 8 years it was imported into the UK with 57, 000 miles. A huge file of paperwork details all the cars UK expenditure with various Lancia Specialists over the past 23, 000 miles. Since its time in the UK the car has averaged almost 1000 miles per year and good quality maintenance has seen the car roadworthy and annually MOT tested. The most recent mechanical expenditure has been a new exhaust system, starter motor and new camshaft drive belt and auxiliary balance belts and tensioners.
G64 ULG is a great buy, it has never been left to deteriorate to the point where it needs restoration, the body is fantastic and original, and having had its recent cosmetic attention, it presents incredibly well. The interior is genuine and original and on the road these cars do not disappoint. With a superb 16v engine, fit turbo and first class gearbox, this Integrale is something quite special and will leave us fully serviced, with 12 months MOT, ready to use and enjoy. Correct, original examples are not easy to find, and with interest quickly rising in these iconic 80's cars, it's a good time to buy.
