Description
** Spectacular in its "Verde Derby 340", one of the rarest colours to find (only a few dozen examples), this Delta is part of the very first batch of Evo 1, i. e. the first legendary 250 units built and used as the base for competition.** This example is in fantastic condition, almost all original paint (panel measurements available) and has been improved in every respect. This is not the classic Delta that looks gorgeous but disappoints to drive: ** this is the Delta as the Delta exists in everyone's imagination, *** a mechanical package to match its incredible presence. It's the Delta for those who love driving and know that life is too short to keep your dream car perpetually parked in a garage for fear of ruining it.** ** 9000 km ago, the engine was rebuilt and reworked, and *** with it the entire mechanicals. We find in fact reverse-H connecting rods, Wossner pistons, everything balanced per cylinder (rod, gudgeon pin and piston), light head work, dedicated engine gasket, ported inlet manifold, turbo kit *** GT28/ 71R turbine, full 70mm exhaust, external 44mm Tial wastegate and Pax Performance electronics. Then there's a Xilema reinforced clutch to spec *** balanced flywheel and Teflon gearshift linkage, stainless steel lines, all bushes in Powerflex, upgraded braking system, 17-inch Speedline Montecarlo replica alloy wheels and a great deal more.** Exceptional to drive and to feel, ** interior in perfect condition, apart from all the original parts and a great many spares. Very solid shell, underbody photos available.** ** BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.** ** WW. CLASSYCAR.
