DEPOSIT TAKEN - We are offering for sale this Fiat 509 SM (Spinto Monza), first registered in France in 1928. It is a pre-war race car with "bateau" body style, 990cc 4-cylinder in line engine, 3-speed gearbox. Its history file dates back to 1928. According to the documents, this Fiat 509 was bought new by an entrepreneur through Garage Carnot (Cannes, France), to which was commissioned the realization of this SM on the base of a Fiat 509 chassis provided directly by Fiat in Turin. According to Fiat Auto France, only two Fiat 509 were delivered to Garage Carnot and this 509, very probably, is one of the two. This Fiat 509 SM was featured in an article of Ruoteclassiche magazine (February 2011) and it appeared in a well-known Barilla commercial. In addition to the history file, it comes with French registration, FIVA passport, and manual in Italian.
