This 2003 Volvo V40 1. 8i Sport has been my Mother's car since January 2014. Prior to her ownership it belonged to a local lady since June 2006. In total it has had 4 owners and I have known the car for the last eight and a half years.
It has now covered 134000 miles with extensive service history and is MOT'd to August 2022 with no advisories. In June 2020 it had the cam belt kit and VVT pulley replaced at our local Volvo dealership and a new radiator was fitted early this year and new rear discs & pads have been fitted this month. It has been a great car that has never let her down; not even throwing up a warning light during her ownership! The metallic black paintwork is still quite tidy and the interior is a nice place to be having never been used as a van.
It is supplied with 2 remote keys, toolkit, book pack and drives very well (I'd go anywhere in it). The specification includes air conditioning, 16" alloy wheels, electric windows front and rear, electric mirrors, 5 speed manual transmission, trip computer, abs brakes, rear headrests, front fog lights, cupholders, roof rails, rear load cover, carpet over mats, airbags, CD player. The Sport adds a rear tailgate spoiler, front lower splitter and dark internal headlight trim giving the V40 a more assertive appearance overall. The engine in this car is the more reliable 123 bhp non GDI unit and this car is London ULEZ exempt (we are just 1 hour, 50 mins from Euston Station). The only reason for this cars sale is a very low mileage V50 2. 4i became available, my Mum will be sorry to see this car go though! It will be a great estate car for many people with all the usual Volvo qualities combined with low running costs.
