1998 (T reg) Mercedes W140 S320 Business Edition with the 500 engine swapped in by a Mercedes tech, it’s done very well as there are no signs of the conversion it looks completely OEM. The wiring harness also looks relatively new. I have history for both the car and the car that the engine came out of. The car has Mercedes main dealer service history up to 71k miles and the engine also has history to 71k miles but was swapped into the car when the engine was on 80k miles and the car was at 75k miles.

As you can see, very good spec and plenty of expensive maintenance sorted. However as with any old car there is always a list of jobs. The front wings have started to get the usual surface rust, relatively minor, they are far from rotten and £300-£400 will sort this. There is an annoying rear suspension creak and I’ve had a garage investigate this and they believe it is the lower rose joint on one of the rear shocks, I’ve not had them take another look at sorting it yet.
The car pulls great, the auto box works as it should and the steering wheel is silky light. I am yet to drive a car with better power steering whether modern or old. The car is great overall and with a little more loving care would be an amazing car.
I planned to keep this car long term, unfortunately, my circumstances have changed but I maintained it like it would be with me for the next 20+ years.
I do have the original wheels but they have been painted black and I am happy to do a deal to include them with the car.
The car doesn’t have any significant dents or scratches. As mentioned the front wings would be something to sort sooner rather than later, other than that there is no rust anywhere else on the car on both inner arches or the rear.
The interior is in good condition, no tears and no excessive wear, all electrics work as they should apart from one of the rear heated seat switches which I haven’t had the time to investigate.
Unfortunately, the Becker Cascade unit isn’t included but the original stereo will be.
