Genuine 1939 BSA KM24 Gold Star for sale.
This specific Gold Star is the 5th 1939 model produced. Delivered late in 1938. The crankcases have been re-stamped with the original engine number sometime in the past however the bare original crankcases still exist in good condition. I can supply contact to the owner of the crankcases so a sale can be negotiated separately.
The Gold Star has been restored to perfection in every detail and is in mint condition throughout. Paint and chrome to a very high standard.
Correct Lucas headlight, Lucas MT110 rear light, speedo panel with correct ammeter, switch and light, original pre-war BSA levers, correct Gold Star rear stand, correct numberplate holder, Jones rims etc.
Mechanically the Gold Star is superb, the engine turns over very smoothly with lots of compression. The gearbox selects freely. This is a fast and loud, top of the range pre-war sports single from BSA. Comes with copies of the old registration documents.
Pre-war Gold Stars were only produced in 1938 and 1939, totaling 565 machines, so a rare bird indeed.
