We were really pleased to discover this beautiful, locally-owned 1962 Ford Consul Capri. With its British origins and hues of 60s Americana, this really is an eyeful and surely has to be considered by anyone in the market looking for individuality and pure classic motoring.
Having undergone a top-class restoration and been impeccably maintained by its 3 former keepers, this Consul Capri has to be seen to appreciate its quality in all areas. Our vendor kept it dry-stored and spent heavily improving the car during this ownership. In fact, it only went out for summer car shows.
The high-quality restoration was carried out by Trojan Cars in Hampshire in 2017 which included a £7200 professional repaint. Present in the historical file are photographs from 2011, showing the car in an excellent condition, prior to what must have been its second restoration.
From looking through the huge file of paperwork, an incredible amount of work has gone into this car, both mechanically and cosmetically, with countless parts replaced and many services carried out. Fitted with the preferred 1. 5L engine and an upgraded gearbox, this cool looking coupe drives superbly and is ready to be enjoyed.
