The Appeal
Henry Ford was many things, and one of them was intensely stubborn. Ford's motoring magnate was fiercely resistant to improving upon the ailing Model T's formula, and it wasn't until a fierce deputation from Edsel and the board that he finally allowed a second car to be developed. It wasn't a moment too soon, and the Model 'A' proved to be a very important step up.
Not only could a Ford finally reverse, but it also carried a level of standardisation that matched other cars on the market. Familiar layout, familiar controls, and a nice, straightforward approach to eminently drivable day-to-day motoring. Today, they maintain plenty of popularity and a strong support network.
This example was sourced from a private collection in Gran Canaria in 2018 and has since been permanently imported to the UK. The vendor describes it as a good, usable classic that's running well. With its solid foundation and ready-to-enjoy character, this pre-war car has plenty going for it. Not one to miss!260420-nielhenderson-30-ford-model-a-2.webp161.2 KB
