Many photos on a link if you ask.
I have decided to let this very nice CB550 Four go, I may change my mind as I like it a lot and may keep it instead of the 79 Bonneville I just soled which was the current rider! It was a USA import in very nice order, now registered on a P plate, much of it seeming exceptionally original including the yellow marks on fixings and labels still in place. The frame is original paint as is all the chrome I believe.
It does not have the four exhausts but a really lovely sounding Delkevic 4-1 which from memory I think is stainless steel.
The seat and cover looks original too with a perfect base.
It starts on kick or electric, rides and stops spot on and has good tyres. Though I do not rev my old toys too hard it will pull all the way as it should.
It was repainted to what I would say is 9/ 10 by the previous owner. (nothing looks poor though) .... it looks fab in all black with laquered pin stripes but is not not the original Gold/ black so as to look more like an earlier CB500. Not too hard to do original if preferred.
The tank is clean inside, the rims and spokes look nice and the clocks for a USA bike are lovely and clear.
It benefits from electronic ignition and the headlight has been wired from always on to a switch. The indicator beepers sound horrid but easy to unplug it.
Revival motors is a very part time business which deals in classic cars and motorcycles…………. turning a hobby into a very part time vocation I actually enjoy. I am always happy to discuss my vehicles which often I have used and will always point out any known faults, issues or areas that could be improved. This CB550K may be my classic ride next spring if it stays with me long, it sounds fantastic ;0) .
