Land Rover has had links to the military for decades. From the early Series 1's to the last of the Defenders Land Rovers have been adapted to suit many different roles and served all around the world with the armed forces and on peacekeeping missions with UN.
This Defender 110 is a very straight and tidy example having spent its life in the UK serving mainly with Scottish regiments when not in MOD storage in Ashchurch.
We (Douglass Motors Ltd) bought this 110 direct from the military, commissioned and registered it. After a major, Land Rover standard, service and MOT it was then sold to its current owner. As a classic car and Land Rover enthusiast it has been meticulously maintained and serviced. During his ownership it has been treated to a full repaint in drab olive with the wheel arch eyebrows now in matt black, converted to power steering, recent brand new set of Michelin XZL tyres, and prepped to look good on display at any military show.
Also included: "new old stock" military canvas hood. Nothing wrong with what is in the Defender currently, but a new hood is included, shown folded in the pictures. And both Shovel and Pick mounted to rear tailgate.
With this 110 comes a comprehensive service and maintanance history file for its civilian life and its military postings history from Merlin Archive.
