EXTERIOR

This Targa looks particularly alluring in Arctic Silver Metallic; a truly complimentary colour to the elegant proportions of the last air cooled 911. Having only covered 28K miles the glossy like appearance of the bodywork has been carefully prepared and dazzles under both natural and studio lights. The body of the car is very clean with only few touched up stone chips to note on the front.

The mirrors and wider rear arches are in equally good order; displaying no major marks or chips, whilst lights remain crack and fade free.

INTERIOR

The interior of this Targa is reflective of the milage as the leather remains tight and clean with only the lightest signs of use to the drivers seat to report. The carpets and mat set are in good order whilst door cards, dash fit and operation are as you would expect for a car that has been pampered from day one. The only elements here that deviate from original is the Porsche Classic Nav system with Bluetooth, USB and Aux which brings this 993 into the 21st century.

The cabin provides Cabriolet-like airiness and the chance to enjoy the sun whilst much less exposed at speed than in a conventional drop top. The roof mechanism works as it should.

ENGINE

The tractable 3. 6 litre is a perfectly elastic powertrain at both ends of the rev range. As the Targa was only 30kg heavier than the Coupe it drivers very similarly. The engine bay presents in exceptional order as you would expect from a car with such low miles and has only ever been under the care of the Porsche main dealer.

The gearbox is also both tight, intuitive and upon completion of its warming cycle a joy to use.

WHEELS

The Split Rim wheels present as new. Wrapped in Continental Sport-contact 2's on all four corners with plenty of tread remaining. Brakes present with clean calipers and plenty of disc / pad life remaining.

HISTORY

Remarkably this 993 has never been anywhere other than Porsche dealers for servicing having been originally sold by Evans Halshaw Aldridge in May of 1997. It has had 9 services in total with the most recent service done at Porsche Centre Swindon at 28, 213 miles on 31/ 01/ 2019.

A great deal of love and care has been bestowed upon this Targa, with a folder full of receipts from the main agent alongside a stringent timeline of MOT's to support vehicle mileage. This shows as such when out on the road, the car incredibly tight, almost as it came out of the showroom 24 years ago.

A full book pack is present and correct alongside the spare key which still features the factory alarm fob.
