1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 351-4V with C6 Automatic Transmission. Dark Green metallic paint with Argent Silver decals and dark green Mach 1 bucket seats and interior. Optioned factory Power Steering, Tachometer, AM radio, front and rear spoilers, Sport Deck rear seat and the original Inflate-a-Spare, can and tools. Power front Disc Brakes, functional Ram-Air and Magnum 500 wheels and BFGoodrich tyres were added later.
Restored and kept to factory specifications by a former President of the Mustang Club of America to judged MCA Gold quality. This very special Mach 1 was then purchased by its last UK owner in 2013 where it has remained as part of a private collection until this month.
The story however does not end there. During the last 8 years the car has been the beneficiary of numerous further restorations and upgrades. These have included completely new OEM rebuilt seats and interior, all new suspension, brakes, steering, dual S/ S exhaust, and rebuilt 351 supplied by Knight Engineering, several of who’s engines we have had the benefit of being installed in a number of our cars in the past. Covering around 1100 miles since completion.
So in summary it would be correct to say that this exceptional Mach 1 is one of the very top examples to be found anywhere in Europe – or the US. Comes with a huge History file right back to its Ford Factory build sheet, Marti Report and large number of invoices totalling substantially more than £90, 000 invested. Restored and upgraded to be driven and enjoyed as it was designed to be. Personally driving the 250 miles back to our showroom without it missing a beat and operating perfectly gives testament to that.
