The GT3 RS is the sportiest version of the Porsche 911 and comes closest to the basic idea of a racing car of all road vehicles from Stuttgart. The racing car from the GT3 Cup series served as the basis and was only modified to the extent necessary for approval and a touch of everyday use.
The GT3 RS of the 911 generation 991 was presented in 2015 as a more pointed variant of the GT3 with even more power and even more weight and already has a long tradition in the model family. A sport version with a naturally aspirated engine was introduced as early as 1972, although it was in the showroom as the Carrera RS until 1997. With the change to the 996 series, it became the first GT3.
