First registered in September 2003 this Defender 90 TD5 has been on the same local farm from new, its exactly as it arrived with nothing hidden or masked over, we haven’t washed it, undersealed it, “Back to Blacked” it, sprayed the rear cross member or changed anything so the buyer can see what a genuine machine this is. No snorkel, boost alloys, 2” lift, checker plate or spots fitted, its just as it left the factory completely un-molested.
It starts runs and drives exactly as it should, with no untoward, bangs, clangs, rattles or squeaks, stops very well, great parking brake, all the lights, horn, wipers, heater, dash clocks and indicators work, even the cab light. No groans or moans from the power steering on full lock. Good clutch with plenty of bite, all gears in each range select.
Fitted with an original factory dog guard behind the seats, wrap around bull bar and a load area mat, these seem to be the only options added when ordered new, two seat bases appear to have been changed / re-covered and everything else looks to be as it left the factory.
Comes with both original keys, handbooks, log book, some old MOTs and the wallet to store them. Part service history for its early life up to 12000 and the rest of the invoices have been filed in the farm accounts, it has been well maintained despite a lack of paperwork.
Currently has 142410 miles on the clock, just over 7900 miles a year. Current MOT until its next birthday in Sep 22, it has been MOT’d every year when due at the end of August, early September, never been welded, full MOT history printout included and we have completed a full HPI check, no issue to report.
The pics show the condition, overall a very tidy Land Rover with minor blemishes associated with its working history, ask to see the demonstration video which shows it driving about, being driven, a full walk round outside and inside.
The chassis and bulkhead are in good solid condition as expected of a vehicle that’s lived under cover, plenty of underneath pics showing every aspect of the chassis in the video, not even a blemish on the door pillars and top corners of the bulkhead.
Plenty of Land Rovers on offer, but you’re going to struggle to find a more genuine one on offer with its totally original well maintained condition on display, the next man can get the wax oil out, after he or she has seen what they are buying.
