Hexagon Classics are pleased to offer this stunning Porsche 993 Carrera S which has been with its sole owner for the entirety of its 24-year life. Porsches like this are now virtually impossible to find.
The 993 Carrera S is a rare and much favoured variant, due to its low production numbers and its massive kerb appeal which was enhanced by its wide hips. The car was produced for a one-year period only and can be easily identified by its split rear engine grill, and unique steel grey trim.
The Carrera S offers a higher equipment level than its little brother, the suspension has been lowered (option M033) by 10mm at the front and 20mm to the rear, the nose section, side panels and wide rear body are of the 4S, which gives the car a Turbo look.
This wonderful example is powered by the 3. 6 litre, air cooled naturally aspirated, VarioRam equipped engine, the last of the 911 air cooled engines which is why the 993 sits so highly amongst the neunelfer purists. The VarioRam adjusts the length of the air intake ducts in line with the engine revs and the speed of the car, with this the power output is increased to 282 hp.
This 993 Carrera S was supplied new by AFN Porsche in August 1997 and has a complete Porsche service history. The car has enjoyed Porsche main dealer servicing its entire life, amassing 26 main dealer stamps, with its most recent service completed in September 2021.
