This charming little Austin Seven was first registered in August 1930, and is one of only a very few remaining ‘RG’ type, fabric bodied saloons. This particular example is finished in black, including the fabric, with a very nice contrasting red interior and very smart wool headlining. The car is in nice condition but not concours – it is a car that has been regularly used and enjoyed. The steelwork and fabric coachwork are very good, with no rips to the fabric, and the car retains its original and correct bonnet ie no louvres. The tyres are good, and the chrome work on the radiator is good. The 750cc engine is mated to a 3-speed gearbox, both of these, we believe to be original to the car. The car starts very easily and runs along nicely with everything working as it should. Good oil pressure (5lb), the brakes are pretty good for an Austin Seven and the gearbox is nice and easy. We have the relevant eligibility for VSCC events document, issued in 2014 – Standard Class. Comes with some paperwork and V5C. Altogether a nice, original old Austin Seven – and very rare to boot!
