Some of the "legendary" Italian motorcycle manufacturers closed their gates in the last century - but some not for eternity, including Mondial.
Roberto Ziletti, who was actually a manufacturer of printing plates, invested in the resurrection of the Mondial brand. In Italy, his team of specialists produced a small series of detailed vehicles that used the finest materials and the most expensive components. For example, the fairing and other applications were made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, the frame was elaborately welded, sophisticated coatings were applied and, last but not least, only high-quality damping elements from "Öhlins" and "Paioli" were installed. Robert Zialetti did not lose sight of the essentials and reverted to well-known and reliable technology: they used the successful engine unit of the Honda VTR 1000 SP-1 with almost 140 hp and dispensed with a significantly more error-prone in-house design.
Robert Zialetti succeeded in putting a beautiful and sophisticated machine on the road and at the same time reviving "Mondial" as a brand.
