Reluctantly for sale my wonderful Studebaker Daytona. Fitted with the renowned Fireball V8 engine, this was a very potent and sporty personal car, and this model broke many records in its time.
This Daytona is the 1964 model with deluxe specifications, featuring separate front seats and a flat floor and with the rare Beauty Vanity compartment with glove box-mounted pop-up mirror!
Other uprated features include the central armrest with storage, wind-down rear windows, and double overriders on the bumpers. Reversing lights are another nice inclusion.
The interior of the car is amazingly well-preserved; the door trim, "glove-soft vinyl" seats, headlining and other trim is original and in truly remarkable excellent condition. The carpets are replacements, though genuine Studebaker items with overmats.
The car has pearlescent Burnt Umber paintwork - pearlescent paint shines more brightly and deeper than standard metallic paint - which is nicely complemented by a white vinyl roof, giving the car a very smart appearance.
This particular Daytona is in excellent condition, although with a few age-related marks. The chrome and glass is all in perfect condition, as are the stainless steel and aluminium exterior trim and badges, including the Flying S mascot.
The tyres, exhaust and ancillaries, lights etc are all excellent and function as they should, and the heater works particularly well!
In sum an unusual, very stylish, and practical car (not too big) that will take you wherever you want with both panache and power. To date it has covered just 65, 000 miles. Please note that the private registration number is not included.
