A lovely, genuine 1939 KM24 Gold Star competition model with matching numbers. All 1939 Competition features intact: Petrol tank without tank panel, 19 inch rear/ 20 inch front wheel, upswept exhaust, sportier cams, extra chrome work (primary chain cover, mudguards etc).
Original spec and with confirmed matching number numbers. The original registration documents and insurance papers from the 1950s come with the bike, also confirming number match for frame and engine and original Competition spec.
The Gold Star is an older quality restoration that has been started but never run on the road. I have a movie of it running. When it was restored it was decided to keep the original crankcase half to preserve it and stamp another crankcase half with the original number so it could be used for the road without worry. The original crankcase half with the engine number comes with the bike and is in perfect condition. Lots of original NOS BSA chromium bolts, nuts used. Even the footrest and gearlever rubber are NOS items. Very nice quality and detailing of the restoration.
