A very sound little Austin Seven which has had lots of restoration carried out over the last 18 years, to include much mechanical work and some re-trimming. The bodywork has been repainted at some stage, but is now showing some blistering. The interior is good, with new headlining, carpets, and good seats. The wheels are excellent, the tyres are nearly new. Good headlamps, and the chromework is fair. The car has spent some of its life in South Africa and was re-imported back to the UK in 2002 - the climate in South Africa is kind, and the main structure of the car including coachwork, floor panels and wheel arches, all look to be very good. The last owner had the car from 2004 to present, and there is a genuine reason for the sale. This is a very early RP model, and will make a very nice motor car with some extra work - the reason that it is priced as it is, is that it has no engine. This car is a bargain for any Austin Seven enthusiast who has an engine lurking about in the garage - and we know lots of you have (!) - a very straightforward and easy job to finish the car. Paperwork includes V5C, dating confirmation from the Austin Seven Owners' Club and Certificate of Registration from South Africa.
