2005 Subaru Forester 2. 0 XT (SG5) manual in blue and silver with 134k on the clock.
Very well looked after Forester with excellent history, owners manuals in wallet and two keys. This car has had everything it needs when needed, and some! I bought the car a couple of years ago up in Birmingham and it had done 116k, and in the time I’ve had it I’ve had the following done:
• New Battery
• Timing belt and water pump
• New headlights and radiator
• New Westfalia towbar (used a couple of times to pull my dinghy)
• New clutch
• Power steering pump
• I’ve also had a satnav stereo fitted and it has Thule Aero roof bars.
I’ve done a couple of small modifications which are a Hayward Scott 100 cell catalytic converter, and it was tuned at Engine Tuner (formerly Alan Jeffreys in Plymouth) giving it 227 HP. It has a stainless back box on it which does growl a bit, but it isn’t overly loud!
This Forester really wants for nothing and has just gone through the MOT, only needing two little bits of welding doing on the inner rear sills (It has been previously undersealed). Last year I had refurbished front lower wishbones, a rear subframe, laterals links (with superpro bushes) and trailing arms fitted. The interior is as good as new and everything works including the full length sunroof, rear wiper etc. There are a few scratches on the bodywork which I’ve pictured, and a bit of paint peel on the bonnet scoop/ turbo intake, but bearing in mind its almost 17 years old it really does look well. It hasn’t been abused, raced or ragged around, and will be a great car for whoever owns it next.
