SOLD. PENDING PAYMENT
I bought this from my friend's father back in 2005. They're a motorcycling family and father had used it for many years to take mother out for the day until in their seventies they decided to give up their motorcycle and for me it was too good an opportunity to miss.
I'm selling it because I no longer have a need for it. It hasn't been used for around six years and my interest has waned. It has been garaged throughout my ownership.
Mileage is 58, 879 mainly because even when I was riding it I was doing under 500 miles a year. I had the last MoT carried out on 24th April 2015 and the bike had a SORN on 30th April 2016. What this bike needs is regular use and some love.

GOOD POINTS:
* It's been a lovely runner with a sweet engine and has the expected patina for a bike of this vintage. (Power to weight ratio is ideal giving a nippy ride in the right hands.)
* Improved/ upgraded front brake hoses.
* Set of panniers.
* Aftermarket and much improved side stand fitted.
*'Spitfire' low octane balls added to fuel tank (- because it runs on 'leaded' fuel which isn't obtainable. Also combats stale fuel.)
* Keihan stainless exhaust system in lovely condition.
* Spare (original) blue petrol tank (-has a pinprick leak that needs fixing before use.)
* Both tyres have plenty of tread and are in good condition.
* Some original BMW tools and odd spares to be sorted out prior to the sale.
* Haynes manual.
* Spare horn.
* Original First Aid kit!
* Fitted with an Odyssey gel battery.
* Trickle charger fitted.
PLEASE NOTE:
* There was an intermittent electrical fault which meant that the indicators and horn didn't always work. Wiggling the wiring loom within the headlamp shell often helped!
* Needs a seat lock.
I have some servicing receipts and history notes in the Haynes manual.

NB The local bike dealer is able to deliver the bike to you within reasonable distance of my address in Surrey. Because it is over forty years old it is exempt from road tax (and possibly MoT?)
