A very original and well presented Samurai Van. I found this SJ in North Wales, looking rather sorry for its self. I have spent the last year going through the vehicle, making it one of the best Samurai Vans out there.
When I first purchased the SJ the out sills had started to blister, I have the outer sill cut out and replaced, then painted over. ( This is the only paint work that has been completed to the vehicle)
The paint work is showing it ages, and there is areas of blistering, I have a lot more photos of these paint areas, however I would say it would be a shame to respray the SJ as its very original and I like the patina.
The interior is complete, with matting in the back and front along with the optional extra factory front removable floor matts.
Looking towards the engine bay, I have fitted a brand new webber carb, that is correctly jetted to this vehicle. The old Asian carb was removed as it was over fuelling, i tried to have this rebuilt but it wasn't possible. The SJ is freshly serviced, using genuine suzuki parts only.
I had the wheel powered coated and four brand new tyres fitted, this has really lifted the appearance of this great SJ.
There are a few areas, to tinker with however this SJ could be used as is for many years to come. I have not undersealed the vehicle yet, but this is something that could be conducted by the new owner.
Referring to the history of the vehicle. The V5 is showing 1 previous owner, yes just one. It has the original hand book with tax discs dating back to 1992. Furthermore there is a spare hand book that's still in its original wrapping, unopened! The full tool kit is also present.
