ATTENTION: We have a second, new, original ZF 5-speed gearbox for a Pagoda, suitable in 230SL 250SL and 280SL for the price of EUR 15. 000!!!
The Mercedes-Benz 280 SL (W113) offered here is in a way a "BARN FIND" & RESTAURATION PROJECT!
Originally, this Pagoda was to undergo a "nut to bolt" complete restoration according to the will of its owner. But in the meantime more than 7 years have passed and just as the 280 SL was parked at that time, it still stands in a dry and well ventilated barn. The Pagoda is rollable (not drivable) and "matching" except for the manual 4-speed gearbox.

However, we were still able to get one of the few NEW ZF 5-speed transmissions (type ZF S 5-20) issued in 2019 by ZF in a limited series, which is an OCCUPIED part of this offering. This transmission was in the official price list of Mercedes-Benz for the Pagoda, orderable as an optional extra and gives the Pagoda incredible driving dynamics!
This Pagoda is a RESTAURATION PROJECT and must undergo a complete restoration. After an on-site inspection, we will be happy to explain the possibilities and costs of a restoration in a restoration company specializing in Pagodas, or assist you with the transport organization.
The ZF gearbox is NOT yet installed, but is ready in its original packaging. The photos are for illustration purposes only. The original 4-speed transmission is included.
