Independent coachbuilders have historically always been very inspired by models with a sometimes very classic appearance to create unusual and original reactions.
This is the case of Giovanni Vernagallo, a coachbuilder in Venaria, author at the end of the last century of a small, limited edition and numbered production of this nice little car, which in 2002 was bought by Silvio Berlusconi to run around the Costa Smeralda in the summer.
Intended for a strictly seaside use, it is said that the Knight wanted to intervene heavily in the setting up of his beach, completing it with original and refined accessories, such as two-tone fabrics of nautical origin, leather steering wheel, jute canvas panels and stretched awning for taking his mother and sister for a walk inside Villa Certosa.
Beyond the anecdotes, the Twingo De Plage still remains a trendy must today, destined for a niche of characters with sophisticated tastes.
