The HF Turbo was introduced in October 1985, side by side as the Delta S4 Stradale.
It was a renewed version of the Delta HF, which would precede the debut of the HF 4WD, with four-wheel drive, which would be presented the following summer.
Responding to some criticism of the “simplicity” of the previous Delta HF, the HF Turbo incorporated sportier styling features and more generous equipment to differentiate it from other Deltas. Red “HF turbo” legends have been applied to the front grille, side skirts and tailgate, a three-armed sports steering wheel, two rear-view mirrors and 14-inch Cromodora light-alloy wheels in a new eight-hole design.?
