Much work done already on this example of a very capable and popular model of Edwardian Talbot, its lightweight means that the 2. 4-litre engine will allow it to cruise at 50mph.
This car was originally sold new through Kellow the Melbourne Talbot dealer, it then spent many years in the collection of ‘Lucky’ Mackenzie before being acquired by ourselves at the Sothebys auction of his collection in 1994.
Subsequently much work has been done on the car in our workshop including rebuilt- chassis, back axle, gearbox with new bearings and gears, front axle, steering, brakes, new clutch- including spring/ jack-shaft, new water pump, new water and inlet manifolds, new timing gears, new throttle linkages, new valves and guides, new wooden-wheels, new road springs, new transmission brake drum and shoes, new camshaft, new con-rods, much other work to the engine. The Bonnet and front-wings have been professionally made to the original pattern.
The new owner will now be able to body the car in a style of their choosing and once completed this will make an excellent sporting Edwardian touring car.
