Original bike in presentable useable condition, now road tax exempt.
I bought this bike in 2016, as project to keep me busy in early retirement.
The bike wasn’t running at the time as it had been laid up for several years and required some TLC to bring it back to life. Fortunately, it hadn’t been tampered with, so while it was a bit sad it was all sound.
The main focus of refurbishment centred around the carburettors, which was carried out by Scriminger Engineering, who did an excellent job.
Consumable items, such as ignition points, fuel lines, battery, engine and gearbox oil where all changed, and new Bridgestone tyres were fitted.
Fuel tank doesn’t look great inside owing to several years laid up dry. However, it doesn’t leak and an inline filter in the flowline to carburettors works well.
Original tool kit, handbook, two ignition keys, and keys for panniers included.
Mileage in 2016 was 38, 755 and now 40, 000, so little use over that time.
