Traditionally finished in Metallic British Racing Green with Connolly Fawn hides with Green accents and carpets. The V8 Coupe, introduced in 1996 is visually similar to it’s supercharged big brother, although was fitted with the familiar and normally aspirated 5. 3 litre V8 engine. Producing, 350 bhp with 360 ft lbs torque and equipped 4 speed automatic transmission, the V8 Coupe sprints from 0-60 mph in 5. 9 seconds and on to a top speed in excess of 150 mph.
With similar aluminium bodywork, suspension and chassis architecture, but less complex engineering to the Vantage V550, the V8 Coupe is renowned for its touring capabilities. For being less costly to maintain and less expensive to acquire, all whilst offering similar levels of driving enjoyment to the owner and occupants.
After spearheading the Aston Martin V8’s transformation for the 1990s, the Virage name was dropped during 1994, its place as the ‘standard’ model being taken by a Vantage-style V8 Coupé. Introduced at the Geneva Salon in March 1996, the new V8 Coupé adopted all of the Vantage’s muscular styling cues but retained the normally aspirated 5. 3 litre engine of the Virage and delivered similar performance.
The model formed part of the Aston Martin range for just three years and is one of the rarer members of the modern V8 family.
The example we are pleased to offer, built and first registered in 1998, is 1 of just 101 examples, hand built at the Newport Pagnell factory before production ended in 1999. A substantial and complete service history file, containing all maintenance invoices and Mot certificates, demonstrates a ‘no expense spared’ maintenance regime, by the previous owners and is included
