Kawasaki's KX85 has been one of the most popular and successful 'schoolboy' moto-crossers since its introduction back in 2001 and continues in production today. The model could be ordered with alternative wheel sizes to accommodate riders of differing stature, and with 28. 5bhp on tap from its single-cylinder two-stroke engine, and weighing only some 150lb, was a lively performer.
The example offered here comes fresh from an extensive restoration completed in 2021. New parts fitted include bodywork; tyres; brake calliper seals; rear suspension bearings; wheel bearings; head bearings; rear wheel spindle and adjusters; rear brake disc; handlebar grips; rear brake line; control levers; seat cover; clutch cable; fluids; mud flap; chain and sprockets, etc. Fully rebuilt, the engine has a Dep exhaust system and has been run for a total of only half an hour, most recently in March 2022. Offered with restoration invoices.
