The SM debuted at the Geneva Auto Show in 1970 and delivered upon that promise. It also had many firsts, such as the high-pressure hydraulic systems that operated the DIRAVI power-steering.
This was a very sophisticated system that has a very short lock to lock and self-centering steering operation..
The braking system was also unique as the brake pedal is actually a button that operates with elevated sensitivity. But one of the most unique features was the lever-operated leveling suspension system. You lower that car for high speeds and raise the car for a comfortable ride that is 2nd to none.
