Following an impulsive purchase of a third Saab 900, I reluctantly now need to sell one and make space in my garage. This Saab left the factory as a 900i, but received a LPT turbo engine at Malbrad SAAB back in 2008 and then the previous owner to me (another serial Saab owner) upgraded it further to FPT, and also replaced the turbo at the end of last year. During his 3 years of ownership, he fitted 9000 Recaro front heated electric seats, upgraded to SaaBits Sports suspension, fitted a replacement back exhaust installed by Central Saab, added BOSCH auxiliary gauges and an impressive Sony XPLOD head unit with 500W Alpine amp and rear speakers. The speedo shows 119, 831miles but due to the replacement engine, total mileage is more like 161, 000. MOT to Feb 23. Headlining has also been recently renewed and at the same time a dashcam system front/ rear was fitted. In 2020, new Toyo Proxy tyres were fitted, together with new ABS pump and accumulator. That same year the car went to ‘Preserve & Protect’ specialist in Glasgow for underbody strip, some welding, wax cavity injection and Dinitrol black underseal including the engine bay area. Last year, a new bronze windscreen was fitted and the car was reinspected by P&P as part of the package. The photos show just how good overall condition the car is in, but there is always something on a car this age; a small patch on offside rear just ahead of the arch where there has been a catalloy reaction, but I was informed it had been stable for over three years. There is also some touched up painting on top edge of the bonnet. The alloys were recently refurbed and look great, but my plan had been to fit a set of 16” Superaeros which need total refurbishment and new tyres, and are available by separate negotiation. The car comes with documented service history and receipts and has covered only 10k miles over the last 7 years, with the last oil change in Jan22. Priced to sell, so no opportunist trader offers please.
