Welcome to the sale of this great useable post war bit of motoring, a 1947 Morris eight series E!
The series E is one of those less know post war cars that just comes with stacks of charm, I find the way these drive just brilliant and this one is no exception with such a strong little engine and a really easy to use gearbox. It does drive and stop all as it should without any issues and will put a massive grin on your face especially when the windscreen and sunroof are open.
I am actually quite surprised at how practical this little thing is for a car of the era, it's easy to get in and out of thanks to the way the doors open and you can actually fit stuff in the boot unlike the small Austins of the era and earlier. The E really is the choice of those that wants the slightly quirky classic that you can still get alot of the parts for.
Inside the car the interior is in very good condition for the age, its had a recent carpet set which looks great and the seats have lovely age marks to them, which for me personally is something that I truly adore in cars of this age as it really shows that they have been used. Ideally it could do with a steering wheel at some point as it's a tad worn.
Exterior is overall very presentable, it's not perfect as it's a older restoration but honestly it's not bad at all and it does look rather nice in green over the usual black or maroon cars. The wheels are all in good condition and all the chrome is in fair condition for the age. This is not a perfect car as reflected on the price but it has to be the best value for money one for sale at the moment.
Everything works as it should, it could do with a pair of trafficator covers as one is missing but the unit still all works. The underbody and tyres are both good too. This really is a good useable classic ready to be enjoyed over the summer.
