Description
I am putting it back on sale, following the second liar who had reserved the car without going through. All the best to his (tiny deposit!). This car, quite well known in the cyclecar world, has been in my possession for quite a long time and has accompanied me on circuits of Le Puy Notre Dame, d'Yvois Carignan, de Romenay, de Bressuire or Chinon, Reims, Düsseldorf, Spa, Monthléry, Saacy Rismes, etc., etc.
Built by an English engineer, the chassis, completely revised, is that of a Morris 8 but with the racing geometry of a Lea Francis. The bodywork, entirely aluminium, also resembles a Lea. The Morris side-valve engine has undergone a refresh with 2 SU carburettors and many improvements, including a 3-in-1 setup. This car runs very strongly and has a fantastic handling (racing videos to back it up!).
The engine is simply new and in break-in, and everything is perfectly functional. It does not compare with an Amilcar (except C6, Austin Seven or other cyclecars); we are in the realm of Riley 12/ 4, MG Q-type, Singer, Wolseley or Alvis.
Unique, high-performance and charming, this car is correctly registered in France with the original chassis numbers.
I am selling it for another project, so no trade-ins (except on Jaguar Type C or D) because it is the project in question / with my own cash adjustment, of course!
Ready for the season, I’m selling it for €60 per kilo (it weighs 600 kg). A swap perhaps with a TR3, TR5, MGA, Daimler 250, Healey 100/ 4, Morgan, Lotus Elan, Giulietta Sprint.
No photos, dear doctors who are travelling abroad, stay there!
